Car Seat Issue in Cadillac CT6 Sedans

Approximately 22,043 2016-2018 CT6 sedans have been recalled due to an excess amount of adhesive that is located on the lower LATCH anchor that is part of the car seat installation process. Keep in mind that if you have attempted to install a car seat and you are having difficulties doing so utilizing the LATCH anchor, you can use a seat belt to secure the car seat when it is in a rear-seating position.

According to Cadillac, CT6 owners should utilize the seat belt in order to secure the car seat until the LATCH anchor has been fixed. If you do not feel comfortable doing so, you can call a local child-passenger safety technician found through SafeKids and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

How to Fix Your Vehicle

If your vehicle is affected by this recall, visit your local Cadillac dealer, where they will inspect the inboard child seat LATCH anchor. If any excess adhesive is found, the dealer will remove it for you as well as apply anti-corrosion primer at no cost.
