Hyundai recalls almost 400,000 vehicles for potential engine fires

Hyundai is recalling over 390,000 vehicle in the United States and Canada for two different problems that can cause engine fires. In one recall, Hyundai is informing owners to park their vehicles outdoors until repairs are completed.

The recalls cover 2013-2015 Sante Fe Sports, 2019-2020 Elantras and 2019-2021 Konas and Velosters. In one of the recalls, brake fluid can leak into the anti-lock brake computers, causing an electrical short that may lead to a fire. The other recall is for piston rings that may not have been properly heat-treated, which can cause engine damage, oil leaks and possible fires.
