FCA Recalls 160,000 Vehicles Due to Insufficient Clearance on All-Weather Mats

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling 160,229 of 2019 and 2020 Ram 1500 pickup trucks due to the potential for the all-season floor mats to interfere with the accelerator pad. The adjustable pedals in the vehicles may be positioned in a way that doesn’t leave enough clearance between the floor mats and the pedals.

The floor mats themselves have ribs in them which can potentially interfere with the adjustable pedals. There are an estimated 43,148 all-season floor mats that were sold in the aftermarket that are also part of this recall. This recall also impacts Ram 1500s in Canada and Mexico.

An estimated 1 percent of the recalled vehicles have the issue and FCA is not aware of any injuries or accidents related to the recall.

Visit Your Local Dealer

FCA encourages owners of impacted vehicles that have the all-season mats to visit their local dealer for modification.
