Toyota Recalls 744,000 Vehicles In The United States

Krohn & Moss, Ltd. Consumer Law Center ® has become aware that Toyota has announced a safety recall of about 744,000 model year 2011 to 2016 Toyota Sienna vehicles in the U.S.

The car manufacturer said there is a possibility that if the Sienna’s sliding door opening operation is impeded, the door’s motor circuit could be overloaded and open the fuse for the motor. If that occurs when the door latch is in an unlatched position, the door could open while driving. Toyota is currently developing a remedy for the condition. All known owners of the involved vehicles will be notified by mid-January.

Toyota customers should check their status by visiting Toyota’s recall website and entering their Vehicle Identification Number. Safety recall information is also available at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration‘s website.
