Mercedes-Benz Recall Over Sunroof Concerns

Mercedes-Benz is recalling three-quarters of a million cars due to the potential for glass sunroofs to detach. There’s a potential for this to happen while the vehicle is moving, ultimately causing road hazards for other drivers. Specifically, the bonding that keeps the sunroof glass attached to the roof the vehicle may fail and cause the roof to detach from the car.

Impacted Vehicles

Specific vehicles that are part of the recall include:

  • Certain 2001-2007 C-Class sedans, coupes and wagons
  • Certain 2003-2009 CLK-Class coupes
  • Certain 2003-2009 E-Class wagons and sedans
  • Certain 2006-2011 CLS-Class sedans
