BMW has issued a wide recall on their recent models due to a display setting glitch—the rear camera view can be turned off when the car is in reverse.

Those who have a 2018-2020 BMW may be affected by this recall. In addition to the rearview camera glitch, the system may retain this setting the next time you drive your vehicle.
What To Do
If you have an affected vehicle, make sure you are staying safe when you backup in your vehicle until you take it to the dealership. All dealerships will be able to update and fix the backup camera, free of charge. The reference number for this recall is 19V684000, or you can call BMW at 1.800.525.7417 to ask if your car is affected.
In addition to calling BMW, you can also head to NHTSA’s website that will let you know whether your vehicle has any other open recalls at this time. If you input your car’s 17-digit VIN number in NHTSA’s site and this recall doesn’t appear, it means you do not have to worry about your vehicle.
