Fiat Chrysler Recalls V8s Over Stuck Cruise Control

Certain Chrysler vehicles are being recalled due to cruise control issues. Not only are certain vehicles getting stuck in cruise control, but some of them are also accelerating unpredictably. This is extremely dangerous to both you as well as other drivers on the road. Although 1,930 vehicles are directly affected, there was a similar recall in May that affected approximately 4.8 million vehicles.

Affected vehicles:

– 2014-2016 Chrysler 300s

– 2014-2016 Dodge Chargers

– 2014-2016 Dodge Challengers equipped with the 5.7-liter V8 and Mopar Stage 1 Performance Package powertrain control module

– 2018 Challenger SRT Demon

Drivers in these vehicles will not receive any type of warning before there is a cruise control malfunction, but it is important to watch for the dashboard lighting up. The fix for the cruise control issue is simple, as Chrysler and Dodge dealers simply need to update the software or replace the PCM. FCA began notifying owners on August 31st, 2018, but you can also call the automaker directly at 800-853-1403.
