Honda Recalls 250,000 Vehicles For Braking Problem

Honda is recalling 183,500 vehicles in the United States, and 250,000 vehicles globally, to fix problems with the braking systems in the Odyssey minivan, Acura RL sedan, Acura MDX crossover SUV and Honda Pilot SUV, manufactured between 2004 and 2005.

The stability assist system in the vehicles may malfunction and the brake could operate even when the driver is not pressing the pedal, said a Honda spokeswoman. The vehicles may also brake more strongly than intended when the system malfunctions.Honda states that no accidents or injuries have been reported as a result of these problems.
